Us at Carcassonne

Hi, I’m Lisa! This guy behind me is my son, who went with me on some of these travels.

Ever since I was little, I’ve felt the magic of quests and pilgrimage — the place where the sacred struggle and everyday world intersect, and time in the wilderness prepares us for the tasks ahead.

That sense has led me to study Anthropology and Asian Studies for undergrad, and International Relations for my master’s. It has also brought me to four different continents so far to study in, travel in & live in.

Right now, I’m tucked away quietly in a little town in the U.S. But I still venture out on pilgrimage from time to time to find my center and quiet the chaos so I can hear God a little better — to walk and look and see the beautiful holiness in the most surprising places. Sometimes right there in front of me in the eyes of a fellow traveler.

After all this quarantine, I’m ready to GO! Research lays the groundwork, but if you have experience to share, I'd love to hear from you at walkingq@walkingquest.net (catchy, I know).

I hope what I share here will help you prepare for your own pilgrimage, or maybe dream a little as you travel through life as a sacred place.

Thank you for joining me on this journey!
